While Yrel's fate in the main timeline is largely unknown, we do know of the orcish invasion on Draenor. When the Horde breached Shattrath City, it marked the final defeat of the draenei on that planet. But this was only part of a grander plan. Gul'dan knew he needed many souls to open the Dark Portal, and this victory came with many prisoners. With the average male draenei rivaling the size of male orcs, Gul'dan also knew that the draenei were capable of producing large offspring. As the orcish brutes sacked the city and did what they always do during raids, this meant only one thing for him: more souls.
